The Weird Kids
The Weird Kids is a Rock n’ Roll group from Portland, Oregon. The band members come from eclectic musical backgrounds, which provides a rich sound encompassing many genres. A focus on clever, relatable lyrics continues to be a cornerstone in the writing process. Drummer Josh Chouinard and vocalist Nick Roberts founded the group in late 2016 – guitarist Adam Brooker.
With over 200 live performances under their belts- including opening slots for the likes of Eagles of Death Metal, Dune Rats, Pink Mountaintops, Death, White Lung, SNFU, DZ Deathrays, and Royal Blood – War Baby are a seasoned Pacific Northwest act despite their youthful hearts. Their RIYL (which runs the gamut of alternative, proto-punk and noise rock greats) is both relevant but also limited as they always stir their influences professionally.
Portland indie-rock collective
Les Gold was founded by frontman Jenson Tuomi, singer Travis Ezell, lead guitarist Tim Kaye, bassist Nick Wright, and drummer Walter Stern. Over the past year, the band has cultivated a sound that mixes homegrown Northwest indie-rock with elements of folk rock, 1950’s r&b, dream pop, and other influences. Showcasing a unique vocal blend between the two lead singers and complex yet catchy hooks throughout the songwriting and instrumentation, Les Gold demonstrates a dynamic body of work and a world of potential for the future.
